Portland Chiropractors: Christopher Pierce, DC & Huma Pierce, DCWelcome to Dr. Pierce’s Portland chiropractic clinic location website! When you walk in, you’re not only greeted by a warm, friendly staff who really cares about you, you’re on the road to achieving optimal health in an environment that makes you feel right at home.
Our facility allows us to provide our patients with the most comprehensive care. With one wing of the clinic dedicated to adjustment and therapy, this is where patients can expect to see and be treated by Dr. Pierce. In our second wing dedicated to massage and therapy we are able to provide the next step and essential component in each of our patients’ personal journeys on their “road to optimal health.”
Rather than focus solely on pain relief, your Portland chiropractor Dr. Pierce will search for the problem which causes you the pain and discomfort. Many times it has little to do with the pain, as pain is often associated with part of the body’s compensation for the problem. Correcting the problem, then, becomes our main Portland chiropractic concern. As a Portland chiropractor, Dr. Pierce is primarily concerned with eliminating or damaging the stress on the nervous system. Of course, in order to find the problem, we first collect information about the patient. At your first Portland chiropractic visit, Dr. Pierce will take a case history and conduct a physical examination. If indicated, your Portland chiropractor may also request X-rays. In addition to checking body symmetry and joint function, we delve in your activities, habits, and nutrition.

Our mission at Dr. Pierce’s chiropractic clinic and wellness center is to help people achieve optimum health by identifying, treating, controlling and resolving health problems using all-natural and drug-free patient care.
Dr. Pierce works closely with patients to establish individual treatment programs because it is our belief that by educating our patients on their conditions and the available treatments, they will be more likely to reach their personal optimum level of health. It is through this doctor-patient partnership that we are able to correct the problem and return the basic functions of the body to normal.
We believe that regular chiropractic treatments are a key element to achieving and sustaining overall health. Being “well adjusted” is one of the best things a person can do to maintain good health. Performing optimally healthy exercises and consuming an ideal diet (fresh, local, organic, sustainable, & enjoyable) are keys to building and sustaining the temple of your body.
At Dr. Pierce’s chiropractic clinic and wellness center we make it our goal to not only help our patients get well, but to help them stay well.
It may not be surprising that many Americans are spending at least 40 hours a week sitting and using a computer. However, this doesn't account for the time that is spent on the computer at home. Troublesome health issues usually arise from extended computer use and its related poor posture.
About 5 to 7 million Americans are affected by a disorder called scoliosis. It is a spinal health condition in which the spine curves away from the middle, side to side. People who have scoliosis sometimes also have lordosis (curving of the spine inward toward the body) or kyphosis (curving of the spine outward away from the body).
Handling Low-Back Pain during Pregnancy
Many women will be surprised that they feel back pain so early in their pregnancy. The hormone progesterone frequently is the root of this early pregnancy low-back pain. This hormone, which is necessary for embryo implantation and gestation, also softens the ligaments, frequently altering an expecting mom’s posture and weight bearing causing low back pain and pelvic and sacral discomfort.
